Job Title: Machinist II

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machinist II to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing equipment machine breakdowns and machining parts for machines. The ideal candidate will have experience with both manual and CNC machining, and be proficient in reading blueprints and using precision measuring tools.

ResponsibilitiesRepair equipment machine breakdowns.Machine parts for machines using manual mills and lathes.Read blueprints and use micrometers and calipers.Rebuild equipment and parts for the production line.Perform CNC machining tasks.Essential SkillsManual machining experience with mills and lathes.Proficiency in reading blueprints.Skilled in using micrometers and calipers.Experience in CNC machining and equipment repair.Additional Skills & QualificationsIndustrial equipment knowledge.Familiarity with schematics.Ability to perform mechanical repairs.Inspection and grinding skills.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This position is located in an industrial environment. The facility operates on a 2-2-3-3 schedule. Initially, you will start on day shifts before transitioning to a different shift as needed. The plant is unionized, providing a structured and supportive work environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.79 - $32.79/hr.
