Job Description Insight Global is looking for a CNC Machinest and programmer to join a custom manufacturer and distributor of advanced polymers and components in Livermore, CA. In this role, the CNC Machinist will operate and control machines and processes in the Machining department, write, develop, and edit CNC programs, program prove outs and approvals, promote continuous improvement (Lean) activities, and provide technical support to CNC operators and machinists. This is a contract position with opportunity to convert to permanent, providing competitive hourly compensation and comprehensive benefits. Primary Responsibilities: - Fabricate and assemble various types and sizes of product parts, tooling, and assemblies - Perform jig, fixture, tool, and die work - Work in coordination with the Production Manager(s) to manage the daily operations, assuring overall quality, productivity, and policy / contract adherence - Design custom tools and fixtures as needed - Assist with development of new processes - Maintain item and job traveler information - Writing and interpreting instructions and procedures to assemble equipment and products accurately - Performing inspections of equipment, materials and products - Work with the QC Inspection team to ensure parts are within allowable tolerances and finished parts do not have any flaws We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
