Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Machinist to join our custom machine shop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for CNC mill set-up, operation, changeover, and troubleshooting. This role requires working with a variety of parts, averaging three changeovers or set-ups per day, in a non-high volume production environment. Basic program editing on CNC machines is essential.
ResponsibilitiesSet up, operate, and changeover CNC mills.Troubleshoot issues within the machine shop.Order and select proper tooling per machine specifications.Perform 3-5+ set-ups per day.Edit basic programs on CNC machines.Run CNC machines and ensure smooth operations.Essential SkillsMinimum 5 years of experience as a Machinist.Proficiency in multiple set-ups per day and tool selection.Ability to edit CNC machines.Experience in a multi-job/run machine shop.Additional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge of G code and its applications.Understanding of motion codes and work offsets.Experience with Fanuc, SolidWorks, GIBB, and CAM.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work in a small, family-owned machine shop located on the southwest side. The shop handles a variety of parts, requiring the ability to perform multiple changeovers per day. The first shift operates Monday through Thursday from 6 am to 4:45 pm, with occasional Friday shifts as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SAN ANTONIO, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $29.00/hr.
