Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CNC Machine Operator to join our team. This role involves working with CNC horizontal mills to produce precision parts from aluminum and other materials. The ideal candidate will have experience in CNC operations, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. This will pay $20-26/hr.
ResponsibilitiesReview and understand work orders for machining tasksCollect raw materials and cut aluminum bars to specific lengthVerify that the correct material is prepared for useSet up and program the CNC horizontal profile mill using conversational programmingMachine parts to the precise dimensions as per prints or customer specificationsOperate the CNC machine and inspect parts for accuracyCommunicate effectively with the 1st shift supervisor about completed tasks and upcoming prioritiesInspect parts and prepare the next order as requiredEssential Skills3+ years of custom job CNC experience.Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, and reading blueprints.Experience with setting up machinery to run jobs.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.Additional Skills & QualificationsStrong communication skills and the ability to hold oneself accountable.Detail-oriented with a focus on producing high-quality work.Willingness to be cross-trained on other machinery, such as panel routers.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Openings are available on the first shift. The hours are from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm. The work environment is very clean and well-organized. Candidates will operate CNC machines approximately 80% of the time, with the remaining time spent inspecting parts or preparing the next order. Typical production runs last between 2-5 hours, with 2-3 setups per shift. Occasionally, runs may be as short as 5 minutes or as long as several hours. Minimal tool changes are required unless the tool is worn. Candidates will eventually be cross-trained on panel routers.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.00 - $26.00/hr.
