Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Manual CNC Machinist with knowledge of lathes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and editing CNC machines, as well as reading, creating, editing, and storing program files using Fanuc controls.
ResponsibilitiesSet up, operate, and edit CNC machines.Read, create, edit, and store program files using Fanuc controls.Machine steel, stainless steel, copper, aluminum, brass, and composites.Understand tooling with respect to carbide and high-speed steels.Set up parts appropriate to machining operations.Interpret assembly drawings, detail drawings, and specifications to machine parts.Familiarity with CNC lathes and mills.Knowledge of speeds and feeds, proper tool selection, and machining strategies to avoid unnecessary machining.Work from programming instructions, operational data, and machine setup instructions.Define and code tool arrangements, material clamping methods, machine calibrations, and console settings for operations such as bore, mill, drill, face, thread, and occasional profiling and contouring.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with structural steel.Ability to troubleshoot CNC machines.Knowledge of blueprint reading.Experience with horizontal and 2-axis machines.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This role operates in a shop/manufacturing environment with a typical shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with potential for earlier starts or later finishes based on needs.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
