**Job Title: CNC Machinist** **Job Description** CNC Machinists are responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes, mills, and grinders to produce parts according to print specifications. This role involves performing machining operations such as turning, milling, grinding, drilling, boring, reaming, and tapping of metal workpieces. The machinist will analyze specifications and decide on tooling based on knowledge of shop mathematics, metal properties, and machining procedures. Additionally, the machinist will load programs from an off-line programmer or create their own programs as required, verify dimensions of machined parts using precision measuring instruments, and ensure work is done to a tolerance of plus or minus 0.0005 inch. **Responsibilities** + Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and grinders. + Perform machining operations including turning, milling, grinding, drilling, boring, reaming, and tapping. + Analyze specifications and select tooling according to shop mathematics, metal properties, and machining procedures. + Operate machines and monitor their operation to optimize production rates. + Load programs from an off-line programmer or create own programs as needed. + Verify dimensions of machined parts using precision measuring instruments and machine controls. + Work to tolerance of plus or minus 0.0005 inch. **Essential Skills** + Experience with CNC machining (minimum 3 years). + Proficiency in operating lathes and mills. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and gauges. + Strong understanding of blueprint symbols and machining processes. + Knowledge of programming, including G-code and/or Mazatrol. + Experience with Fanuc and Mazatrol controls. + Strong math and measuring skills. + Ability to verify dimensions with precision measuring instruments. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $35.00/hr.
