Job Title: Machinist
Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and skilled machinists to join our team on the 2nd and 3rd shifts. We need 3 CNC operators and 2 manual machinists for each shift. This role is crucial to supporting our growing international projects and contracts. We are looking for long-term team members who are committed to producing high-quality work.

ResponsibilitiesOperate and adjust CNC Mill and Lathe tools to perform standard and repetitive sequences of operations.Follow provided programs and setups made by others.Use precision measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, and height stands.Measure to .001 accuracy.Use basic hand tools and mechanical devices.Maintain and ensure setups are correctly made.Read and follow Work Instruction Sheets.Check parts for conformance using strong blueprint reading skills.Essential SkillsStrong mechanical aptitude.Basic knowledge of machining processes including milling and lathes, both horizontal and vertical.Capability to use precision measuring devices.Competence in CNC lathe and mill operations.Ability to set up machines and tooling.Experience with Mazak machines is a plus.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to quickly learn and make adjustments to tool offsets.Basic understanding of cutting tools with some experience in judging when they need changing.Willingness to learn M and G code programming.Strong attention to detail and communication skills.Broad knowledge of machining techniques.Familiarity with CNC machines, Brother, Okuma, G-codes, and M-codes.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Our facility is very clean and updated, having moved to the Eldridge location in the last 15 years. The candidate will frequently be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and will work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eldridge, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr.
