Job Title: Plasma Operator Machinist
Job Description

A Plasma Operator is needed to set up and operate the Plasma machine according to drawing specifications. The ideal candidate should be a highly driven individual who can operate all duties safely and efficiently.

ResponsibilitiesOperate a programmed plasma machine with 2 to 5 years of experience.Understand the proper set up and operation of the machine.Use hand tools to set up and adjust equipment.Read and decipher blueprints and flat sheets to give accurate interpretation of blueprints and customer specifications.Perform preventative maintenance for the assigned equipment.Troubleshoot and select, load materials including programs and fixtures.Ensure quality inspection criteria are followed for all parts fabricated.Work timely and expeditiously to deliver an on-time product without manufacturing errors.Support fellow team members to achieve company goals and objectives.Essential SkillsExperience in operating a programmed plasma machine (2 to 5 years).Ability to read and interpret blueprints and flat sheets.Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.Set up and adjust equipment using hand tools.Select and load materials, including programs and fixtures.Ensure quality inspection criteria are followed.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to follow directions and comply with performance standards.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Flexibility to work overtime and on-call assignments.Proficiency in reading and writing for completing basic paperwork.Forklift operation skills.Use of measuring tools for accuracy and quality.Knowledge of CAD programming software.General understanding of installation for fabricated equipment and parts.Basic welding skills and techniques.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is non-climate controlled and involves working with older machines. Personal Protective Equipment, engineering controls, defined procedures, and specialized training are provided to reduce hazard exposure risks. The shift is Monday to Thursday from 6am to 4:30pm, with opportunities for additional work on Fridays, typically a 4-8 hour shift.

This is a Contract position based out of Greensboro, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
