Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

This position is for a CNC Machinist who will be a complete and solid machinist with a high mechanical aptitude and managerial experience. CNC programming, CAM, CAD, and tooling set-up skills are paramount for this position. The ideal candidate will be able to keep multiple machines continually active utilizing a team atmosphere, understand the principles of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement, and work effectively and positively with engineering support. This is a working lead position that involves cross-cell collaboration.

ResponsibilitiesKeep multiple machines continually active utilizing a team atmosphere.Understand and implement principles of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.Problem solve and work effectively with engineering support.Manage a team of machinists and organize workflow for the department.Collaborate with Engineering on new part/segment designs.Perform mechanical assembly of machine segments with close fit tolerances.Essential Skills3 to 8 years of experience in CNC Machining on either CNC Mills or CNC Lathes.Ability to read, interpret, and set up machines off of blueprints.Proficient in using micrometers, calipers, and other tools.CNC programming skills.Knowledge of G-Code and M-Code.Blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.Shop math skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school graduate or trade school preferred.Experience with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam.Experience with surface grinding and Bridgeport Mill.Supervisory experience.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $83200.00/yr.

Eligibility for the company health, dental, life and short-term disability coverage will be the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment.
You will receive 2 weeks of vacation time after your 90-day orientation period and 3 weeks on your 1-year anniversary. In addition, eligibility for the 401k plan is the 1st of the month following 1 year of employment.
