CNC Machinist
Job Title: CNC Machinist Shift: 3rd (4p-3:30 M-F) Pay: $22-$27

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist responsible for setting up and operating CNC Machines, including mills and lathes. This role involves measuring parts using precise equipment, performing setups and tooling changes, and ensuring high-quality machining through documentation and precision techniques. The position is ideal for candidates looking to grow into a journeyman role through our comprehensive apprenticeship program.

ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC Machines, including mills and lathes.Use measuring equipment to measure parts accurately.Complete setups, offsets, tooling changes, and changeovers.Focus on documentation and precision machining within the Aerospace industry.Perform tool changes and setups at the machine.Conduct quality inspections on machined parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.Adapt to varying daily tasks and responsibilities.Participate in an apprenticeship program with the goal of becoming a journeyman machinist.Essential SkillsAt least 5 years of CNC machining experience.Experience with setups, tooling changes, and changeovers.Understanding of machine G&M codes.Ability to read blueprints.Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, and gauges for quality inspections.High school diploma or GED.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in the Aerospace or job shop industry.Programming experience.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This position is for the night shift, from 4 PM to 3:30 AM, Monday to Friday, requiring a 55-hour work week. Compensation includes straight time for the first 8 hours, 1.5x for hours 9 and 10, and double time for the 11th hour each day. The work environment is a job shop type, primarily manufacturing parts for F-35 plane engines. Our plant features advanced robotics and innovative machinery, with a strong emphasis on quality, integrity, and precision. Employees enjoy a well-maintained facility with nice break and lunch rooms.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SOLON, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.
