Job Title: CNC Machinist II

Job Description

We are seeking skilled CNC Machinist II candidates for multiple openings our 2nd shift. As a CNC Machinist II, you will use advanced machining techniques to produce accurate and high-quality parts. This role requires full proficiency in CNC principles, procedures, and setups to execute machining strategies successfully. A passion for further developing machining skills and strong problem-solving abilities is essential.

ResponsibilitiesRead and perform intermediate to complex machining activities in line with company capabilities.Provide advice or solutions in technical areas for less experienced machinists.Modify existing programs to enhance efficiency.Design custom fixtures for work holding as needed.Determine acceptable surface finishes.Program and set up multiple machines to perform multi-axis (3+1 and/or 3+2 indexing) machining.Apply lathe concepts to machine parts more efficiently.Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiencies for machining and tooling selection through research and development.Perform essential functions of Machinist I.Other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsProficient knowledge of multi-axis (3+1 and/or 3+2 indexing) setup and machining.Basic knowledge of lathe concepts.Proficient knowledge of complex fixturing techniques.Proficient knowledge of print reading, high tolerance machining, and geometric dimensioning.Proficient knowledge of shop mechanics, mathematics, and measurement.Proficient knowledge of material properties.Proficient knowledge of commonly used hand and power tools.Basic computer literacy.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma required.2-year Machining Degree preferred.2 years of experience with Sac EDM or 5+ years of relevant setup and machining experience in a related industry.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong initiative and personal accountability.Ability to work effectively under pressure with limited supervision.Sound judgment in ambiguous situations.Quick response and adaptability to changing circumstances.Attention to detail and commitment to quality work.Teamwork and knowledge-sharing attitude.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Our work environment is fast-paced with noise conditions ranging from moderate to extreme. We provide hearing protection if needed or by request. You may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibrations, hot metal, machining components, coolants, and oils. The shift hours are Monday to Friday, 2 PM - 10:30 PM for 2nd shift.

This is a Permanent position based out of RANCHO CORDOVA, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $70720.00/yr.
