**Job Title: CNC Machinist - Night Shift** **Job Description** We are looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with boring mills and machining parts for the automotive, aerospace, and medical industries. This role requires a strong understanding of tight tolerances, the ability to edit programs, select proper tooling, and understand controls (Fanuc). The CNC Machinist must be able to read blueprints, use measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers, zero out the X-Y and Z-axis before starting a new job, and perform tool touch-offs to set the proper tooling height from the XYZ axis. **Responsibilities** + Machine parts for the automotive, aerospace, and medical industries. + Maintain tight tolerances during machining processes. + Edit CNC programs and select appropriate tooling. + Understand and operate Fanuc controls. + Read and interpret blueprints. + Use micrometers and calipers for precise measurements. + Zero out X-Y and Z-axis before starting new jobs. + Perform tool touch-offs to set proper tooling height from XYZ axis. **Essential Skills** + Experience with boring mills. + CNC machining expertise. + Proficiency in programming using Vizi, Work NC, or Mastercam. + Knowledge of Fanuc controls. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + Skilled in using micrometers and calipers. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with horizontal boring mills. + Understanding of horizontal CNC machines. + Overhead crane and hi-lo experience. **Why Work Here?** We are at the forefront of the aerospace industry, providing top-quality parts and tooling. The work environment is a machine shop with large equipment, overhead cranes, and exposure to grease and dirt. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wayland, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.
