CNC Machinist-programmer
**Description:** The purpose of the Machining Operator is to operate and control machines and processes in the Machining department. Responsibilities: - Controlling machines and processes. - Interpreting instructions and procedures to assemble equipment and products accurately. - Performing inspections of equipment, materials and products. - Analyzing information and finding the best solutions to problems. - Fabricates and assembles various types and sizes of product parts, tooling, and assemblies; works with, modifies and creates jigs and fixtures. - Provides knowledge transfer where inquiry requires higher level of expertise. - Continually look for opportunities to improve the manufacturing process and department. - Work with the QC Inspection team to ensure parts are within allowable tolerances and finished parts do not have any flaws. - Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, while applying the latest relevant knowledge to the work. - Performs, or assists in, the orientation and training of employees. - Maintains and promotes excellent client relations by identifying and promptly responding to all questions relating to the business. - Work with the QC Inspection team to ensure parts are within allowable tolerances and finished parts do not have any flaws. **Skills:** Blueprint, Drill press, Machine operating, Cnc machine, Troubleshooting **Knowledge & Skill Requirements:** It is expected that the Machining Operator possess these critical skills through prior knowledge and/or Modus training: - Machine Shop or Machine Tool Technology/Machinist or equivalent experience. (1-2 years of experience in mechanical assembly is preferred.) - Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills. - Attention to details and self-motivation. - Knowledge of proper use of measuring tools/gauges and cutting tools. - Understanding of drawings, models and routers. - Excellent communication and basic math skills. **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
