**Job Title: CNC Machinist**
**Job Description**
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to operate and set up 5 axis CNC mills, producing precise parts in a timely manner according to customer process documentation. This role will involve working with multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously and performing inspections using various measuring tools. The initial training will be on the 1st shift for 30-90 days before transitioning to C Shift on weekends.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate and set up 5 axis CNC mills to produce the required number of correct parts in a timely manner.
+ Operate multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously.
+ Correctly set up jobs on assigned machines, including tool changes.
+ Perform 1st piece, in-process, and last piece inspections using micrometers, calipers, comparators, various gauges, and CMM equipment.
+ Perform data collection and communication tasks in Job Boss and other applications.
+ Perform operator maintenance.
+ Diagnose and correct equipment or tool issues.
**Essential Skills**
+ 3 years of experience with CNC Machining 5 Axis Mills.
+ Firm understanding of machining center theory, including x, y, and z axis, along with edge and center line pickup.
+ Ability to use common measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauges (pin, thread, indicator, height), optical comparators, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with CNC milling machines, set-ups, blueprint reading, and quality inspection.
+ Knowledge of DMG Mill (5 axis) and Haas Mill.
+ Familiarity with Citizen Swiss Lathe and OD/ID Grinding.

**Work Environment**
This is a job shop machining center for the Aerospace industry, handling complex parts with very close tolerances. The typical run size ranges from 20-70 pieces. Training will take place on 1st shift for 30-90 days before moving to respective shifts. Shift time will be 6am - 6pm Fri/Sat/Sun (work 36 hours and will be paid for 40)
