**Aerotek is currently hiring for CNC machinists in the greater Jessup, MD area! Qualified candidates will be able to perform the following duties:** **Job Description** : + Ensure all first piece inspections are performed and approved. + Work independently to verify that material and paperwork for the job being performed is correct. + Plan machining in accordance with all blueprints and technical data and specifications, applying geometric dimensioning and tolerances as required. + Set-up mills by adjusting necessary fixturing and machine attachments, setting and applying tool and machine reference points and offsets, and calculating requirements using basic math, geometry, and trigonometry. + Check stock and load/unload the machine. + Create an in-process inspection report for each operation, if one does not exist. + Identify non-conformance and notify the supervisor for documentation and segregation. + Verify that there are no chips on either the jaws/fixture or on the part/material to be machined. + Load the part/material, ensuring it is properly seated in the fixture/jaws, snug against any stop pins prior to clamping or tightening. + Follow all quality procedures, work instructions, and documents pertaining to the job and department. + Ensure that company inspection equipment and tools in the department are in calibration. **Additional Skills & Qualifications:** + Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T). + Experience with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). + Ability to operate various machines within the department with minimal instruction. + Understanding of G-Code. + Capability of reading and understanding drawings, blueprints, and specifications. + Good leadership skills and capability to train employees. + Ability to work with minimal supervision. **Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply to this posting directly.** **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $35.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
