Visit our website at http://www.locperformance.com FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Approved Date: 6/12/2024 Approved By: Juston Boland Job Title: CNC Maintenance Technician Department: Production Summary Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as production machines and equipment by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. + Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble. + Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts to be replaced. + Ability to use CNC controls to diagnose machine repairs thru ladder logic. + Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments. + Repairs or replaces defective parts. + Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. + Responsible for performing preventive maintenance (PMs). + Starts devices to test their performance. + Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts. + Experienced in technical aspect of electrical and mechanical drawing to aid in the repair of machines. + Initiates replacement parts list for parts and machines to be ordered. + Repairs electrical equipment both low and high voltage to aid in trouble shooting a machine that is down. + Strong Fanuc controls experience is desired. + Knowledge of hydraulic pumps, PLCs, and controls. Adherence to Policy Follow quality environmental policies and have knowledge of AS9100 and IS14001. Adherence to Safety Follow safety procedures, security protocol, and wear proper PPE. Education and/or Experience Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
