CNC Maintenance Technician 2nd Shift (CWI) - Houston, TX

Partner with the best

As a CNC Maintenance Tech, you will be responsible for the preventative maintenance and repair of all equipment, machines, and computer numerical control systems including axis/spindle drive systems. You will perform basic editing/programming of CNC and PLC systems, and repair equipment & machines to manufacture recommendations and instrumentation/process controls in compliance with API and ISO quality specifications and/or safety systems requirements.

As a CNC Technician Mechanic, you will be responsible for:

Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all machines and equipment according to manufacturer recommendations.

Ability to diagnose/troubleshoot maintenance repairs and malfunctions.

Dismantling and installation of machines and equipment

Preventative Maintenance of all machines & equipment

Ensuring all machines and equipment safety features comply with manufacturers and Baker Hughes guidelines & procedures.

Training for other team members

Able to perform the above task without direct supervision.

Coordinating special projects

May be responsible for training other team members and facilitating team activities and any special projects as needed.

To be successful in this role you will:

Must have a High Diploma or Equivalent

Possess four years minimum of maintenance and repair experience on Mazak Lathes CNC/Manual machines.

Experience in repairing the following CNC machines would also be valued: Vertical Mills & Integrex Machines, Okuma, Weiler, Monarch Mills, Sunnen Hones, and Mori Seiki.

Electrical/Electronic knowledge of CNC/Manual machines

Problem-Solving Skills

Self-Starter - Able to perform tasks without direct supervision.

Must be willing to work overtime and alternative hours as business requires.

Trade school experience with electrical/electronics

Training/certifications with the following:

LOTO

Electrical Safety

Arc Flash Certified

Fall Protection

Crane Safety

DOT Hazardous Material Awareness and RECA Hazardous Waste Management

Forklift Certification

Work schedule: Second Shift, Monday – Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. – Must have flexibility to work overtime during the week, weekends and holidays as needed.
