CNC Mill/Lathe Operator
**CNC Machinist** **Schedule:** 1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM **Pay:** $30/hr (Possibly more depending on experience) **Key Responsibilities:** + Set up and operate B-Axis lathes and/or 5-Axis CNC Mill-Turn machines for tasks such as turning, drilling, milling, and part completion. + Optimize set-up times and maximize machine utilization. + Interpret blueprints and route instructions to understand task specifications. + Utilize Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances. + Troubleshoot programs and make necessary adjustments. + Set up CNC equipment to complete full cycles, producing both high and low volumes of parts, maintaining offsets, and inspecting parts with high precision. + Follow in-process part inspection procedures and notify the Supervisor/Lead of any non-conformance. + Communicate with managers, programmers, and quality personnel to resolve quality issues. + Adhere to safety protocols and wear all required PPE throughout the shift. + Document issues to ensure smooth information transition between departments. + Perform daily preventive maintenance checks. **What We Are Looking For:** We seek engaged individuals who are adaptable to a changing environment, enjoy learning, and thrive in team settings. **Key Competencies:** + Minimum 5 years of machining experience, including performing set-ups. + Proficiency with measuring equipment such as calipers and gauges. + Strong math skills. + Ability to document machining procedures. + Knowledge of metals, part-holding fixtures, and lathe/mill tooling. + Experience with DMG Mori Mill-Turn and/or Brother multi-axis machines is a plus. + Basic oral communication skills; ability to read and comprehend instructions in English and complete simple logs and reports in English. + Physical ability to handle heavy items, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning components. + Compliance with company timekeeping and other policies. + Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment. + Ability to stand for an entire shift. + Strong knowledge of machining practices and materials, as well as general mechanical knowledge. + Willingness to be trained and a desire to learn. + Ability to work effectively in a team setting. + Great work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude. + Experience with Siemens and/or Brother controls. **If you are a dedicated CNC Machinist looking to join a dynamic team, we encourage you to apply!** **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
