**CNC Machinist - Immediately Hiring - Career Opportunity - Poway, CA** **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:** + Setup all 3, 5 axis and vertical machines to successfully conduct run as program specified. + Input tools register, offset, compensation, including zero and reference points and additional switches, calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry and trigonometry, proving part programs. + Verify settings by measuring position, 1st article run, and sample workpieces, adhering to international standards. + Interpret blueprints, sketches/shop drawings, material specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, location of surfaces, and machining parameters, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances. + Perform 1st piece, in-process and last piece inspection using micrometers, calipers, comparators, various gauges according to process documentation. + Monitor the run throughout the cycle, on one or more machines, checking specifications are met. + Make necessary machine offset as required and monitor feed, speed and tapping cycle. + Operate one or more machines per operation sheet. + Perform assigned operator equipment maintenance. + Diagnose and correct equipment or tool issues. + Perform basic de-burr or rework of work in-process. + Make recommendations to optimize and improve assigned processes. + Maintain workstation to 5S standards. + Other duties may be assigned by lead or Supervisor. **Experience Level:** + Intermediate to advanced **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
