Cnc Mill Machinist
**Job Title: CNC Mill Machinist** **Job Description** A global leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance automation, workholding, and remote handling solutions is seeking a CNC Mill Machinist. This role involves setting up, operating, and adjusting various types of conventional or automatic machines, including CNC Milling machines. **Responsibilities** + Operate machinery safely and follow all established Safety Policies and Procedures. + Work from drawings and written instructions to create parts. + Set up and operate CNC machines, performing diversified and complex operations on one or more machines simultaneously. + Write and edit programs to meet overall part tolerance requirements. + Provide technical leadership and assist in training less experienced machinists. + Understand all aspects of operating machines and proficiently run multiple machines simultaneously. + Handle changeovers without assistance, write basic programs, post-edit CNC programs, read and troubleshoot programs. + Set up jobs, run jobs, and inspect parts. + Perform all external setup tasks for the next job while the machine is running. + Use basic math and problem-solving abilities. + Read prints to recognize specifications for various surfaces being machined. + Determine operational sequences, select tools, spindle speeds, tool feed rates, and chucking/holding requirements in accordance with materials. + Inspect workpieces at the start of and throughout production run to ensure part meets tolerance requirements. + Inspect and replace cutting tools as needed. + Use measuring tools effectively to ensure conformance to print. + Understand and verify tolerances for machined surfaces. + Replace worn tools and establish proper tool offsets, making necessary adjustments. + Perform preventative maintenance on assigned equipment. + Advise supervisor of conduct that may violate rules, policies, and procedures. + Perform other duties as assigned. **Why Work Here?** Competitive compensation, health and wellness programs, disability coverage, 401K contributions with a 3% company match, financial plan support, paid vacation and holidays, employee assistance programs, full benefits from day 1, and a 35-year average tenure. **Work Environment** The environment is climate controlled, organized, and clean throughout the facility. The company offers both 1st shift (5am-3:30pm) and 2nd shift (3:30pm - 2am) positions with potential overtime available on Fridays and Saturdays. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Wheeling, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr.
