CNC Mill Operator 2nd Shift
**CNC Mill Operator-Fenton, MO** **Roles & Responsibilities:** + Setup, layout and operate various CNC lathes and/or mills + Reads blueprint or job order for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances and tooling instructions such as fixtures, cutting speeds, depth of cut and determines sequence of operations. + Selects, positions, and secures tool in tool holder. + Positions and secures work piece in holding device, machine table, chuck, centers or fixtures. + Moves controls to position tool and work piece in relation to each other, and to set specified feeds, speeds and depth of cut. + Sets up fixture, starts machine. + Requires ability to read precision measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers. + Observes operation of machine and verifies conformity of machined work piece to specifications. + Keeps work area clean and orderly + Follows all Company rules and safety policies. + Discusses errors in diagrams or production order with supervisor or engineer to clarify assembly problems. **Core Competency Requirements:** + Performs any assembly-type functions, using hand or power tools. + Adjusts, trim and fitting parts to close tolerances. + Follows visual aids (standard work) to ensure work is correct. + May perform testing of assembled product. + Make up cartons, print labels, insert protective packing material, seal finishing product. + Meet efficiency rates. + Perform quality checks to ensure quality specifications are met. + Work within all safety guidelines and wear all required PPE (steel toe shoes, hearing protection and safety glasses). + Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor or team leader. + Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition - 5S. + Must be flexible to rotate job assignments within various work cells. + Performs related duties as assigned by supervision **Required Qualifications:** + 1+ yrs of previous CNC experience **Physical Needs:** + The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfullyperform the essential functions of this job. + Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. + To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
