CNC Operator
**Job Summary:** The CNC Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision metal parts. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read and interpret technical documents. **Key Responsibilities:** + Set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling. + Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and CAD files to understand specifications. + Input instructions into CNC machines and adjust settings to ensure accurate production. + Load raw materials and parts onto the machines. + Monitor the CNC machine during operation to ensure adherence to specifications and make adjustments as necessary. + Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet quality standards. + Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and troubleshoot any issues. + Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and guidelines. + Document actions by completing production and quality logs. **Qualifications:** + High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in CNC operation or a related field preferred. + Proven experience as a CNC Operator, preferably in the metalworking industry. + Strong knowledge of CNC machinery and tooling, as well as precision measurement tools. + Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings. + Basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM software. + Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Good communication skills, both verbal and written. + Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed. **Physical Requirements:** + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. + Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and metal shavings. + Ability to perform tasks that require manual dexterity. **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
