**Job Title: CNC Operator**
**Job Description**
Candidates will work with CAD/CAM programs and interpret large commercial drawings for the fabrication of sheet metal for the sides of Curtainwall units. This role involves both programming and operating CNC equipment, including saws and other specialized tools, to fabricate hardware for large window unit systems. The candidate will also be responsible for identifying and interpreting digital 3D drawings, and reprogramming machinery for various production runs. This role is technical in nature, encompassing both office and plant floor activities.
**Responsibilities**
+ Work with CAD/CAM programs to interpret large commercial drawings for sheet metal fabrication.
+ Operate CNC equipment, including saws and specialized tools, for metal fabrication.
+ Identify and interpret digital 3D drawings for programming CNC machinery.
+ Reprogram machinery for various production runs.
+ Utilize hoists and team lifts to move larger pieces of sheet metal or glass material.
+ Perform programming tasks both at a desk and directly on machines.
+ Conduct practice runs with operators to ensure accuracy of product output.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in CAD/CAM programs.
+ Experience with CNC machine programming and operation.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and digital 3D drawings.
+ Mechanical aptitude and ability to read a tape measure.
+ Experience in metal fabrication and operating CNC equipment.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with tools such as fitting, drills, hand tools, and machine operation.
+ Knowledge of CNC software, CNC setup, and sheet metal fabrication.
+ Familiarity with SolidWorks, Fanuc, CMM programming, G-code, punch press, brake press, and laser operation.
+ Ability to perform tasks such as material handling and cleaning when required.
+ Positive attitude and flexibility to perform various tasks as needed.
