**Job Title: CNC Operator**
**Job Description**
Candidates will monitor CNC lathe machines to ensure parts are produced correctly, perform any necessary offsets, and use specialized gages to confirm parts meet specifications. Occasionally, they will load parts into the machine, lock out the machine to remove stuck parts and diagnose problems, and change out broken or chipped tools.
**Responsibilities**
+ Monitor CNC lathe machines to ensure parts are produced correctly.
+ Perform necessary offsets to maintain part specifications.
+ Use specialized gages such as micrometers and calipers to check parts.
+ Load parts into the machine as needed.
+ Lock out the machine to remove stuck parts and diagnose issues.
+ Change out broken or chipped tools.
**Essential Skills**
+ At least 1 year of recent experience with CNC lathe.
+ Proficiency with gages such as micrometers and calipers.
+ Experience completing offsets and tool changes.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with Fanuc controls.

**Work Environment**
The facility is a brand new, large, clean, well-ventilated, and bright workspace. It operates three shifts and houses CNC machines, press machines, and automated assembly lines. The facility includes Fuji CNC machines and has a front and back section, with the back section set to mirror the front once it opens. It has about 8 bays for trucks and employs 150 people with 30 lathe machines. The environment is loud but manageable, with no noticeable smells. The dress code includes jeans and a shirt with non-slip shoes or boots and eye protection. No shorts or tank tops are allowed.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shelby Township, Michigan.
