Job Description
Since 1946, our client, a full-service production CNC machine shop, has crafted various metal parts for a diverse customer base that includes industries such as agriculture, construction, off-road highway trucking, forestry, mining, and more. We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our team and work on a variety of mills, primarily Mazaks, to produce high-quality parts with minimal scrap.
ResponsibilitiesOperate CNC machines and/or machining centers to produce small to large parts with minimal scrap.Review drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production.Plan the proper sequence of tasks to complete assignments efficiently.Inspect parts using different gauges, routing requirements, customer drawing requirements, quality plan dimensions, and SPC chart tracking to ensure quality assurance.Document completed labor, quality checks, and report errors and defects as required.Identify the need for machine/tool maintenance and perform minor repairs.Learn machine set-up using provided documentation to gather and organize equipment needed for setups in a minimum amount of time.Maintain a safe and clean work environment.Essential SkillsExperience with CNC machines, lathes, and mills.Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.Ability to review and interpret drawings, instructions, and blueprints.Knowledge of quality assurance and SPC chart tracking.Experience with machine set-ups, particularly with Mazak and Doosan machines.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with machining and set-ups.Proficiency with calipers and micrometers.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
We operate in a well-lit shop, although the environment can be on the dirtier side. We offer three shifts: 1st Shift (6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.), 2nd Shift (2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.) with a 15% premium, and 3rd Shift (10:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.) with a 25% premium. There is a lot of overtime available, although it is not mandatory. Candidates should be able to lift 40 lbs on occasion. We are currently very busy with work orders set through 2025.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00
