CNC Operator
**Job Title: CNC Operator** **Job Description** Candidates will be operating unique fabrication equipment in the metal bending/cuts required for the edges of large window/glass units. They will operate all CNC equipment that is specific to this industry, change programs for each run, manipulate the CNC control panel, and utilize computer-based programs and measuring equipment throughout the shift. **Responsibilities** + Operate saws, brake press, and other specialized equipment for metal bending. + Change programs and reprogram machines as necessary for various runs. + Identify and interpret digital 3D drawings. + Meet overall and daily production goals for respective departments. + Utilize hoists and team lifts for moving larger pieces of sheet metal or glass material. **Essential Skills** + Strong mechanical aptitude. + Proficiently read a tape measure. + Experience in operating and setting up CNC equipment. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + Experience with computer numerical control (CNC) software and setup. + Knowledge of CAD/CAM software. + Experience with quality control and measurements using tools like calipers and micrometers. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Positive approach to work and a 'can-do' attitude. + Flexibility to perform various tasks as needed. + Great listening skills. + Willingness to be trained on specific equipment. + Ability to work efficiently in a team environment. **Why Work Here?** The company offers a family-type environment where the CEO and management always give back to the associates. It is a busy manufacturing environment with many assemblers during the busy season. Products are stored both inside and outside, so material handlers and fabricators may be exposed to outdoor conditions. The work environment emphasizes teamwork, especially when handling large pieces of glass, sheet metal, and steel frames. The shift time is 2:30-11:00 PM for the second shift, with initial training on the day shift from 6:00 AM-2:30 PM for a few months. There is a chance a few candidates will stay on the day shift when the second shift officially reopens.
