Position Summary:The Set Up Machine Operator will set up and operates assigned CNC Swiss Lathe machines to produce parts, all of which must meet the dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawing. This effort includes, but is not limited to, conducting basic machine changeovers, accurately completing quality control documentation and inspection sheet. This individual works with other machine operators and management to ensure good manufacturing practices, inspection techniques, SOPs, and safety regulations every day.
Hours: 2:45pm to 11:15pm
Essential Functions:
Measures, inspects, loading/unloading parts from CNC machine
Implements dimensional adjustments (offsets) as needed
Ability to set up existing parts quickly and efficiently
Able to set up new products and work through any issues that arise with minimal assistance.
Strong leadership skills and ability to train other employees.
Resolves and communicates problems/issues to attention of Group Manager and working efficiently to achieve manufacturing goals and deadlines
Diagnose problems that arise while a machine is running, and the ability to efficiently resolve the problem to resume production.
Able to read and interpret G code program to understand how parts are produced
Accurately completes all quality control documentation and inspection sheets
Inspects products in accordance to all verbal and/or written instructions such as part drawings, traveler, work instructions, and process specifications
Embraces Good Manufacturing Practices and inspection techniques each day; following all SOPs and safety regulations
Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies.
Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude
Able to perform visual inspection with the use of a microscope on small parts; strong attention to detail
Intermediate math skills in geometric and trigonometric formulas a plus
Self-starter with the ability to work with little or no supervision; well organized and possesses the ability to multi-task
Team player, open to new ideas and team work, self-motivated individual, willingness to continually strive to increase personal knowledge and value
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail
Advanced critical thinking and problems-solving skills
