CNC Operator Trainee

Dixon Valve is looking for entry-level CNC Operator Trainees to join its manufacturing team in Chestertown, MD. No previous CNC operator or machine operator experience is required. Dixon will train you! This is a great opportunity for individuals with mechanical aptitude or operational bent to join a global manufacturer committed to employee training and development where qualified machinists can participate in our state-certified Apprenticeship program! Dixon is recognized as the premier manufacturer and supplier of hose fittings and accessories spanning a wide range of industrial uses. Hours 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, M-F.

 Responsibilities:

Operates CNC lathes Inspection of parts Primary focus is on production, product quality and accuracy


Competencies:

Ability to read blue prints and mechanical drawings Ability to read measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers Ability to use basic shop mathematics specifically addition and subtraction Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to lift and manuever 70 lbs. consistently over the course of a shift Ability to work in a fast paced operation/manufacturing environment
