Position Summary:                                                     

The CNC Process Engineer position is responsible for engineering activities to develop CNC processes, define controls, and institute effective variability reduction efforts in manufacturing areas.

Essential Functions:                                                   

 

Program new product without significant interruption in production throughput.Continuously evaluation and drive to improves processes in order to maintain or improve upon budgeted yields.Training others to run CNC machines. Perform daily audits to ensure procedures are being followed on the manufacturing floorBluelight inspection and model generation from the scans.Help where needed and being team player, Communication is critical. Reading and interpreting design blueprints and models Adjusting the machine settings until the desired specifications are met Update/revise area procedures to ensure clarity and reduce the opportunity for process variation Participates in cost reduction and continuous improvement as needed Initiate and interface with all levels of manufacturing, management, suppliers and customers. Provide hands on, floor level investigations and problem solving Other duties as assigned.

 

Required Skills:                                                          

Proven analytical, problem solving, and process improvement ability Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations and priorities. The ability to handle high stress associated with high activity with tight deadlines. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

Desired Skills:

Experience with advanced CNC programming in both a virtual and direct interface. Knowledge of Mastercam, solid works or similar modeling software. Highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently as well as work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects Proven experience in Manufacturing Industry.


Experience & Education                                             

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or other related Engineering discipline.
