Job Purpose The programmer is responsible for writing programs for the machines to perform tasks for each metal part that are machined. Works closely with machinists to insure programs are working properly and are making cycle time. Nature of Duties/Responsibilities Writing programs for the machines to perform tasks to cut metal parts. Works closely with the machinist to insure that program is working properly Makes sure the program is making cycle times and makes adjustments. Program maintenance, DNC, upload, download just run, review and save as master if it qualifies. Makes sure programs and process routers match. Makes sure tool sheets are correct and have full tool descriptions. Other duties may be assigned.
