Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and optimizing CNC programs for the production of precision components while ensuring adherence to aerospace industry standards and specifications.

Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for machining aerospace components and subassemblies using CAD/CAM software.Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine machining requirements and specifications.Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure seamless integration of CNC programming with manufacturing processes.Conduct simulations and validate CNC programs to ensure accuracy and efficiency prior to production runs.Troubleshoot and resolve programming issues during the machining process, making real-time adjustments as necessary.Monitor machine performance and make recommendations for improvements to enhance productivity and quality.Maintain documentation of CNC programs, tooling setups, and process changes in accordance with quality standards.Assist in training operators on new programs and machining techniques.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to process optimization efforts.

QualificationsAssociate’s degree in Manufacturing Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.3-5 years of CNC programming experience in the aerospace industry.Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, and materials used in aerospace manufacturing.Familiarity with aerospace quality standardsExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
