Johnson Service Group (JSG) a professional recruiting firm is seeking a CNC Programmer to support a manufacturer in Ladson, SC. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing expansion project that will double production while adding prefabrication to their current assembly operation. You’ll have a voice in purchasing CNC Machinery as well as the accompanying software program for CNC programming capabilities.
Summary:
The CNC Programmer will be responsible for ensuring machines are set up and maintained correctly, monitor their operation, and ensure necessary adjustments for quality of the final product.
Responsibilities: Creating and optimizing CNC programs on the CNC machine Design of tools, fixtures, and equipment Start-up and optimization of self-created programs on the CNC machine Creation of programs for parts on complex machine systems Supporting the decision of purchasing new machines Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines Set up and operate CNC machines to produce high quality parts in single piece and series production Identify and troubleshoot problems that arise during the manufacturing process to ensure high quality production Monitor manufacturing processes Provide input and ideas for process improvement and optimization Maintain accurate records of production data, such as part counts and cycle times Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a relevant field is preferred Several years of experience in CNC programming and operation; experience with software such as GibbsCam, MasterCam, Esprit, etc. Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills Excellent attention to detail and quality control Strong communication and teamwork Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to meet project deadlines Knowledge of basic math skills Ability to understand and read work orders and drawings and follow detailed instructions.
