Job Title: CNC Programmer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in utilizing Mastercam NC Programming software to create and maintain NC source code for various NC machinery. You will be responsible for calculating speeds and feeds, utilizing advanced tool path and material removal techniques, and successfully simulating all programs to prevent shop floor delays. Additionally, you will provide comprehensive setup and tool list documentation, display ownership of active programs, and continuously improve them. You will process work within performance and delivery requirements, support all team members to achieve goals, and work closely with departmental leads to ensure standardized practices. Troubleshooting and resolving machine or program issues as they arise is also a key part of this role.

ResponsibilitiesCreate and maintain NC source code for various NC machinery using Mastercam NC Programming software.Calculate speeds and feeds for efficient machine operation.Utilize advanced tool path and material removal techniques.Simulate all programs to alleviate shop floor delays.Provide comprehensive setup and tool list documentation.Display ownership and continuously improve active programs.Process work within performance and delivery requirements.Support team members to achieve company, departmental, and personal goals.Work closely with departmental leads to ensure standardized practices and processes.Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machines or programs as they arise.Essential SkillsProficiency with Mastercam NC Programming software.2+ years of CNC programming experience.Advanced knowledge of machining processes.Ability to interpret blueprints and specifications, including GD&T fundamentals.Understanding of post processor controls and settings.Experience developing tooling and production processes.Experience with vertical and horizontal mills.4 and 5 axis experience.CAD design and solid modeling experience preferred.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Catia, Microsoft Office, and an ERP system.Knowledge of Boeing blueprints is a plus.Ability to utilize correct cutter types.Frequent use of hands and fingers for material handling.Frequent use of vision abilities including close and distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and spatial relationships.Frequent use of hearing and speaking abilities to communicate detailed information.Frequent lifting of 5 to 10 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 35 pounds.Occasional exposure to manufacturing shop floor with required use of safety glasses.Occasional exposure to excess noise levels, necessitating the use of hearing protection.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm. The work environment includes a machine shop with 3, 4, and 5 axis vertical mills and plans for future improvements, such as adding a horizontal mill and sourcing a pallet changer/automated system. The role requires frequent use of hands, vision, hearing, and speaking abilities, as well as occasional lifting and exposure to the manufacturing shop floor with necessary safety precautions. This is a Permanent position based out of Auburn, Washington.
