**CNC Programmer - Esprit/Swiss Screw Machine** **Job Description** We are seeking an experienced programmer skilled in working with Swiss Machines. The ideal candidate will utilize computer-aided design (CAD) solid models to create numerical control (NC) programs using computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software. **Responsibilities** + Utilize CAD solid models to create NC programs using CAM software. + Design and source tooling and fixtures for machined parts. + Set up machines and complete first articles prior to production runs. + Provide feedback to development teams on feasibility and methodology for machining components. + Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters. + Program, set up, and run mills and lathes by entering instructions, modifying hardware, and editing code on the machines to output the desired results. + Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run parts, and sample workpieces, adhering to international standards. + Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations. + Take measurements, detect malfunctions, troubleshoot processes, adjust and reprogram controls, sharpen and replace worn tools, and adhere to quality assurance procedures and processes. + Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. + Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. + Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications. + Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. **Essential Skills** + Five (5) years of experience working with Swiss-style lathes. + Five (5) years of CNC Swiss programming experience. + Excellent understanding of CNC machining techniques and equipment including 5-axis milling and/or multiaxis Swiss lathes. + Excellent understanding of inspection techniques and principles. + Excellent understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles. + Knowledge of manufacturing software, CAM software (Esprit), design software (Solidworks), word processing software (Word), electronic mail software (Outlook), and presentation software (PowerPoint). **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with Esprit, programming, blueprint reading, and Swiss screw lathe operations. **Why Work Here?** We offer competitive pay, comprehensive health coverage once converted, and eligibility for benefit enrollment while on contract. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vista, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
