The CNC Programmer will be responsible for creating and running CNC programs to produce high-quality steel tools for compression molding. This role requires a strong understanding of CNC machinery, programming languages, and manufacturing processes. Essential Duties + Develop and write CNC programs for various machining operations, mainly turning using Doosan/FANUC controls and HAAS controls + Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to determine machining requirements. + Select appropriate tools, cutting speeds, and feeds for each operation. + Conduct test runs and adjust programs as necessary to ensure accuracy and quality. + Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve programming issues. + Maintain and update CNC program libraries and documentation. + Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies. + Continuously improve processes to enhance efficiency and reduce production costs. This may include contributing to creating and updating SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), work instructions, or other company documentation. + Develop and write CNC programs for various machining operations, mainly turning using Doosan/FANUC controls and HAAS controls + Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to determine machining requirements. Physical Requirements + Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. + Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination. **Qualifications** Minimum Qualifications + High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification in CNC programming or a related field preferred. + 5 years of experience as a CNC Programmer in a manufacturing environment. + Previous experience working with tight tolerances in steel. + Ability to perform CNC setups as well as program execution. + Proficiency in CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code, M-code) and CAD/CAM software (e.g., MasterCAM, SolidCAM). + Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and tooling. + Strong understanding of tooling, toolpath strategy, and work holding in turning work. + Strong GDT knowledge and use of metrology. + Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. + Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. + Must be able to read and write in English + Strong communication and teamwork skills.
