Job Title: CNC Programmer
Job Description

We are seeking skilled CNC Programmers for our 2nd shift and Weekend Shift positions. The successful candidates will be responsible for programming and operating 3/5-axis CNC machines to perform cutting operations and ensure quality checks on machined parts. The role involves working with various materials such as titanium, nitronic 50 stainless, exotic metals, and aluminum.

ResponsibilitiesProgram and operate 3/5-axis CNC machines to perform cutting operations.Quality check machined parts, calculate dimensions and tolerances using mathematical knowledge and instruments such as micrometers and calipers.Perform necessary repairs.Set up, adjust, and operate basic and specialized machine tools for precision machining operations.Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.Essential SkillsCNC programming and operating experience with Plastic Mold Injections.Experience with CAM Software, WorkNC is preferred.A minimum of 8-10 years of 3/5-axis experience.Experience in complex, multiaxial setups and cutting using a variety of materials and weldments for custom parts, bases, and fixtures.Effective communication with management regarding all employee and supply needs.High School Diploma or equivalent.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with FANUC and Heidenhain controls is preferred.WorkNC experience is preferred.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment includes operating advanced CNC machinery and handling a variety of materials such as titanium, nitronic 50 stainless, exotic metals, and aluminum. Shifts available include Weekend 2nd shift (12 noon - 12:30 am, Friday-Sunday), Weekend 1st shift (6 am - 4:30 pm, Friday-Sunday), and Weekday 2nd shift (8 pm - 4:30 am Sunday, 4 pm - 4:30 am Monday-Thursday).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockford, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
