Duties & Responsibilities:

Develops Computer Numeric Control (CNC) programs for production machines, using Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software such as MasterCAMSpecifies and procures cutting tools and fixtures to be used in the machining process Creates set up sheets, procedures and documentation for the manufacturing processAnalyzes design data in the form of drawings and CAD files to determine manufacturing sequence on individual machine tools; selects cutting tools, machine feed and speed ratesReads and interprets blueprints and drawings using knowledge of GD&TSets up and administers operation of a Direct Numeric Control (DNC) system for all production machines.  Trains operators in the use of the system.  Develops and maintains configuration control of programs.  Reviews changes and approves updates to programs.  Consults with operators, supervisors and manufacturing engineers to improve software, machining processes, tooling and set-up time, etc.Supports manufacturing and engineering projects as assigned, including but not limited to:  process improvement, cycle time studies, tooling and fixture design, machine utilization/uptime, scrap/rework reduction, productivity improvement, reducing setup/changeover timeApplies lean manufacturing principles to identify and eliminate waste and inefficiencies in the production process

Education/Experience:
