Scope of Responsibility:  

The CNC Programmer is responsible for processing production parts that are to be burned, drilled, and/or punched through the necessary equipment to generate NC programs.  The CNC Programmer will also do production and order processing, record drawings, anchor bolt setting templates, and initiate material requirements for select orders.  Also must keep track, control, and reduce inventory of parts in excess.

 

 Essential Duties:

Incumbent will use Auto-Cad to interpret a print of a part to be burned, drilled, and/or punched for the purpose of supplying the CNC machines with needed information to produce the part.Communicates with Engineering, Production, and Material Management to keep abreast of changes in part dimensions, production scheduling of parts and manufacturing needs to complete order.Prepares material requirements for Purchasing Department and processes order for manufacturing.Utilizes excess inventory in the most efficient way to substitute and/or modify existing assemblies or parts to fill in existing orders.Responsible for updating program files in manufacturing CNC machines.Prepares anchor bolt setting templates.Additional duties as assigned

 

Position Requirements: 

Regular and timely attendance is requiredAbility to plan, organize, pay attention to details and multi-task in a fast-paced work environmentExcellent communication skills, including reading, writing and speaking EnglishAbility to work well with people in a number of positionsAbility to identify, define and resolve problemsTwo year’s experience in Industrial Engineering or manufacturing of any steel products.Ability to do basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, trigonometry, division and algebra, with both fractions and decimals.Have a basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and WordGood communication skills, both oral and written.Knowledge of Auto-Cad systemsAbility to read and interpret production drawings.High school diploma.

 

Physical Requirements:

Position requires manual dexterity, arm-hand steadiness and a safety-minded individual. Must be able to work in an open environment exposed to extreme temperatures.Must have the ability to concentrate on tasks for long periods of time and be able to observe and receive information from all relevant sources.
