**Job Title: CNC Router Operator II**
**Job Description**
The CNC Router Operator II position is responsible for the setup and operation of the CNC Router in compliance with inch and metric drawing specifications.
**Responsibilities**
+ Set up and operate CNC Router to machine flat and formed parts to inch and metric drawing specifications.
+ Act as a technical resource regarding tooling and machining capabilities.
+ Evaluate and justify new tooling and machining processes.
+ Communicate issues relating to work orders, programming errors, material shortages, or errors.
+ Focus on the reduction of material, labor, and scrap.
+ Perform minor maintenance activities as required by the preventive maintenance program.
+ Engage in continued education and training including ISO 9001, safety, blueprint reading, and teamwork.
+ Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
+ Record labor for job tracking.
+ Differentiate and machine various plastics including WPP, NPP, FRPP, Polycarbonate, PVC, Acrylic, UHMW, Delrin, PTFE, PFA, and PVDF.
+ Take the lead on large projects from start to finish.
+ Interact with engineering on designs of parts and provide advice on corrective actions.
+ Document Red lines and monitor Line side inventory.
+ Perform other duties as requested.
**Essential Skills**
+ High school degree or equivalent with two to three years’ experience or AA degree in Machine Technology.
+ Good math skills, particularly in trigonometry.
+ Ability to perform lead responsibilities effectively and professionally.
+ Proficiency in machining various plastics and metals.
+ Ability to machine to .005 tolerance.
+ Use of rotary table and divider head mill vise.
+ Ability to perform tooling designs.
+ Proficiency in using inspection tooling to measure and verify dimensions.
+ Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings in metric, decimal, and fractional inch units.
+ Ability to read and interpret Bill of Materials.
+ Experience in maintaining and inspecting tooling.
+ Proficiency in setting up and operating manual mills and lathes.
+ Strong troubleshooting skills.
+ Experience in setting up CNC machines, including loading programs, tools, and fixtures, and setting tool offsets.
+ Ability to use and read precision measuring devices in thousandths.
+ Knowledge of various cutting tools and materials.
+ Proficiency in CNC programming.
+ Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
+ Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
+ Experience in deburring parts.
+ Ability to lift and carry products weighing up to 35 pounds.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Ability to read and understand machine codes.
+ Demonstrated skills in at least one other discipline (cross-trained).
+ Ability to carefully handle fragile products and perform repetitive tasks.
+ Strong safety awareness.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tigard, Oregon.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
