CNC Saw Operator
**Job Title: Saw Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Saw Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of saw machines to process materials according to specified dimensions and tolerances. You will ensure all work meets quality standards and follows company safety policies and procedures. **Responsibilities** + Determine processing specifications such as materials, location of cutting lines, dimensions, tolerances, and operational sequences. + Review work orders, instructions, or other written specifications. + Select material to be saw cut according to processing picker instructions and verify size and grade. + Position work pieces for processing and may operate a combination of different machines to process. + Use gauges, calipers, indicators, or rulers for measurement. + Install and align specified cutting blades or other fixtures in saw using gauges, templates. + Adjust controls to set cutting speed and feed rates. + Diagnose problems and make necessary adjustments. + Coordinate and execute material handling to be processed, including operation of an overhead crane. + Examine finished work pieces for conformance to quality standards. + Record information such as tag number, number of work pieces processed, machine readings, and dates and times of product production. + Mark all material after processing, store material for additional processing, and/or package for shipping. + Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. **Essential Skills** + Experience in saw operation. + Ability to read blueprints. + Proficiency in operating bandsaws. + Skill in using tape measures, gauges, and other measurement tools. + Experience in production and machine operation. + Fabrication skills. + Ability to set up and operate machines. + Proficiency in reading machine shop prints. + Experience in assembly and prepping. + Knowledge of press brake operations. + Basic reading and writing comprehension in English. + Basic measuring skills to read and convert English and Metric systems. + Basic arithmetic skills to calculate and convert decimals and fractions. + Ability to read a tape measure and pass a tape measure test in both English and Metric. + Experience with overhead crane operation and certification as an operator. **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
