Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Swiss Type Screw Machine Operator with a minimum of five years’ experience in programming and setup of Swiss Type Screw Machines (Citizen, Star, Tsugami). The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, follow instructions, and concentrate for long periods of time. You will be expected to properly use basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometer, indicators, etc.) and have good manual dexterity. Additionally, the ability to check parts using a microscope is required.

ResponsibilitiesSetup and program Citizen A-20 and A-32 machines.Monitor the screw machine, make changes to speed, feed rates, or tool position to ensure parts meet blueprint requirements.Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications using standard measuring tools.Work with small parts and close tolerances (+/-.0001).Develop CNC programs manually or using Mastercam, Partmaker, or Espirit.Ensure all traceability for the work is complete according to ISO 9001 procedures.Troubleshoot and maintain CNC machines.Essential SkillsMinimum 5 years CNC Swiss Type Lathe ExperienceAbility to work independently and follow instructionsProficiency with basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometer, indicators, etc.)Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterityAbility to check parts using a microscopeStrong skills and aptitude in mathGood verbal and writing communication skillsAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with MS applicationsCompletion of vocational or college training in machine shop (Certificate of Completion of basic machining course.)Why Work Here?

Work Environment

You will be working in an aerospace machine shop with mixed machinery including 4 & 5 axis mills & lathes as well as a 6 axis mill. The environment involves machining forged parts and complex aerospace parts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fife, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
