CNC Set up Mill Machinist
**Job Summary:** We are seeking a CNC Setup Operator with 3+ years of 5-axis milling machine experience to join a growing aerospace and defense company. This position involves setting up and operating CNC machining centers to produce parts to precise specifications, monitoring machine performance, and ensuring high-quality production. **Key Responsibilities:** + Set up and operate CNC milling machines, including interpreting job requirements, materials, and G/M code sequences. + Use tools, inserts, fixtures, and gages to ensure parts meet dimensional requirements. + Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot as needed. + Perform light maintenance on equipment and maintain clean, safe work areas. + Read and interpret blueprints and production orders. + Ensure quality control and adhere to safety procedures. **Qualifications:** + High school diploma or GED required; Technical degree preferred. + Minimum 2 years of CNC setup and operation experience, including 5-axis mill experience. + Strong knowledge of CNC equipment, tools, and measurement devices. + Ability to read blueprints and perform basic math and calculations. + Detail-oriented with strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills. **Work Environment:** This is a full-time, non-exempt position, working Monday to Thursday from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
