**Job Description**
We are a high-precision manufacturer that produces products for the Aerospace, Medical, and Energy industries. We pride ourselves on delivering very high-quality products used in high-stakes environments. We are looking for CNC Set Up Operators to join our team. As a CNC Set Up Operator, you will perform standardized fixture/tooling set-ups for various sized product runs using both CNC Haas/Toyota mills and lathes. While lathe experience is not required, we will train and expect you to operate one. You will set up the machine, complete the product run, check parts for tolerance, and conduct multiple product runs weekly.
**Responsibilities**
+ Study blueprints, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
+ Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines.
+ Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
+ Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjust machine controls or control as required.
+ Verify conformance of finished workpieces to specifications.
+ Operate micrometers, dial and digital calipers, veneers, thread gauges, go/no-go pins, and other measuring tools and equipment.
+ Visually inspect surfaces for flaws and smoothness and make adjustments accordingly.
+ Attend Quality Manual Standards Training and apply Quality Standards accordingly.
+ Observe safety and security procedures; report potentially unsafe conditions; use equipment and materials properly.
+ Empty chip bins.
+ Sweep and clean work area and equipment.
+ Report consistently to work and be on time. Able to work all hours, as assigned, including overtime when necessary.
**Essential Skills**
+ 2+ years of CNC set up experience.
+ Experience with 3 and 4 axis Mills.
+ Tolerance Inspection.
+ Blueprint reading.
+ Machining.
+ Use of calipers and micrometers.
+ Machine set up and programming.
+ Experience with Haas and Fanuc systems.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Two years of previous CNC experience and/or training.
+ Excellent communication skills.
+ Computer skills required.
+ Problem solving and troubleshooting experience.
+ Basic math skills.

**Work Environment**
You will be working in a clean, organized aerospace parts manufacturing facility. The day shift runs from 7am to 3:30pm and the swing shift runs from 3pm to 11:30pm. Some overtime may be required via extended shifts and occasionally on Saturdays.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr.
Union company with a solid benefits package including pension. For pension, $3.15 goes into the retirement account for every hour you work. Other benefits include medical, dental, vision, etc.
**Workplace Type**
This is a fully onsite position in Clackamas,OR.
