As a CNO Test Engineer, you'll participate in the planning of technical approaches, and equipment required for the testing and evaluating of new systems, products and special devices. Utilizing your expert knowledge and understanding of test engineering concepts and principles, you'll prepare test and diagnostic programs, design test fixtures and equipment, and complete specifications and procedures throughout the engineering development lifecycle. Required Skills: - Proven CNO domain experience - Testing of embedded software systems in one or more of the following operating system environments: Unix, Linux, VxWorks - Experience working within teams of engineers as both a lead and a contributor. - Ability to develop test procedures from requirements independently - Experience in the development of test documentation such as test plans, and test reports - Ability to work as part of a team environment - Working knowledge of common protocols/standards such as TCP/IP, SDH/SONET, ATM, MPLS/GMPLS, Ethernet, Carrier Grade Ethernet Preferred Skills: - Experience with Automated Testing - Script writing using Perl, Python, Bourne shell, C shell, or other proprietary scripting languages - JIRA - Confluence - SVN What you'll experience: - Technologies that aren't just top-notch, they're often top-secret - A team of bold thinkers committed to exploring what's next - Opportunities to gain new knowledge - as it's discovered What you bring to the table: - A Bachelors degree in Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience - Proficient knowledge and experience with object-oriented programming, system processes and scripting languages - Openly proposes ideas that enhance productivity and efficiency, solicits input, and optimizes solutions What sets you apart: - Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success, meeting and exceeding personal and team commitments - Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity - Commitment to ongoing professional development \#SWDevPolyMD **\#EnhancedTechPoly2025** The likely salary range for this position is $153,000 - $207,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
