Co Manager

Job Description:

As the Co-Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the General Manager in overseeing the profitability for one RaceTrac store. You will continually deliver on RaceTrac’s mission of making people’s lives simpler and more enjoyable through friendly service, food execution, focusing on cleanliness, leading talent, and driving success.

Responsibilities:

Friendly

Establish an environment of prompt, efficient, and courteous service and effectively engage in conflict management  Lead and direct positive and professional relationships with co-workers, guests, and vendorsCommunicate respectfully and maintain a consistent team-oriented attitudeManage and mitigate any reported guest concerns on designated shifts with a sense of urgency and involve appropriate regional team members as neededProvide a courteous, frictionless, and elevated shopping experience for every guestEfficiently complete guest transactions at the cash register or self-checkout stations and suggest products that complement purchases

Food

Drive excellence in food service by executing processes, implementing goals to increase sales and margin, ensuring product quality, and utilizing training resourcesEnsure all food offers are available; ensure preparation areas and equipment are clean and properly maintained

Clean

Encourage and manage a high standard of store cleanlinessDirect, monitor, and adhere to all RaceTrac, federal, state, and local safety-related regulations, including food safety regulationsResponsible for executing shift duties, maintaining overall presentation standards, and representing the RaceTrac brand

Work with the General Manager to direct the control of inventory and the distribution of materials, merchandise, and suppliesDevelop and maintain a relationship with vendors to ensure efficient and accurate deliveriesUse company provided tools to coach, mentor and develop a high performing store team

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED in progress or completed3-5 years of prior food service, retail, or restaurant supervisory experience; retail management experience preferred1+ years management experience preferredPrevious experience working in high-volume, guest-focused, transactional environment preferredKnowledge and skills in analyzing profit and loss statements and overall financial performance of the storeExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteProven knowledge of Labor Laws and staffing best practicesTakes initiativeCan lift up to 50 pounds and repeatedly bend, stand, and reach while on the jobMay be required to obtain and maintain food handler permit, based on local or state requirementsMay be required to obtain and maintain alcohol server permit, based on local or state requirements
