Job Description:
As the Co-Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the General Manager in overseeing the profitability for one RaceTrac store. You will continually deliver on RaceTrac’s mission of making people’s lives simpler and more enjoyable through friendly service, food execution, focusing on cleanliness, leading talent, and driving success.Responsibilities:
Friendly\nEstablish an environment of prompt, efficient, and courteous service and effectively engage in conflict management\nLead and direct positive and professional relationships with co-workers, guests, and vendors\nCommunicate respectfully and maintain a consistent team-oriented attitude\nManage and mitigate any reported guest concerns on designated shifts with a sense of urgency and involve appropriate regional team members as needed\nProvide a courteous, frictionless, and elevated shopping experience for every guest\nEfficiently complete guest transactions at the cash register or self-checkout stations and suggest products that complement purchases\nFood\nDrive excellence in food service by executing processes, implementing goals to increase sales and margin, ensuring product quality, and utilizing training resources\nEnsure all food offers are available; ensure preparation areas and equipment are clean and properly maintained\nClean\nEncourage and manage a high standard of store cleanliness\nDirect, monitor, and adhere to all RaceTrac, federal, state, and local safety-related regulations, including food safety regulations\nResponsible for executing shift duties, maintaining overall presentation standards, and representing the RaceTrac brand\nLeading Talent\nDemonstrate RaceTrac's Core Values of Honesty, Efficiency, Positive Attitude, Respect, and Teamwork\nDisplay RaceTrac’s Leadership Qualities through acting with a servant-leader mentality, prioritizing tasks appropriately, going the extra mile for guests and your team, listening, and communicating respectfully, and solving problems with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach\nLead the coaching, training, and assessment of direct reports while adhering to operational standards\nProvide feedback and recommendations on employee performance and development to the General Manager\nDriving Success\nWork with the General Manager to direct the control of inventory and the distribution of materials, merchandise, and supplies\nDevelop and maintain a relationship with vendors to ensure efficient and accurate deliveries\nUse company provided tools to coach, mentor and develop a high performing store teamQualifications:
High School Diploma or GED in progress or completed3-5 years of prior food service, retail, or restaurant supervisory experience; retail management experience preferred1+ years management experience preferredPrevious experience working in high-volume, guest-focused, transactional environment preferredKnowledge and skills in analyzing profit and loss statements and overall financial performance of the storeExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteProven knowledge of Labor Laws and staffing best practicesTakes initiativeCan lift up to 50 pounds and repeatedly bend, stand, and reach while on the jobMay be required to obtain and maintain food handler permit, based on local or state requirementsMay be required to obtain and maintain alcohol server permit, based on local or state requirements
