Co-op, Delta Professional Services – Business Strategy, Technology, and Operations Support (Summer 2025)
How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) **Delta Air Lines, Inc.** Delta Air Lines is one of the world's leading international airlines, and our number one focus is to enhance all aspects of each customer's travel experience. **Delta Professional Services, LLC** Delta Professional Services (DPS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines. DPS provides critical Flight Training and Standards support and expertise to multiple air carriers and aircraft manufacturers. We are a collection of highly experienced and highly qualified individuals with a common goal of improving the safety and standards of aviation training. **Business Strategy, Technology, and Operations Support** The DPS business is built on collaboration across all disciplines to meet the client demands. Operational support team members work closely with our technology and strategy teams to ensure successful outcomes through data analytics and key performance metrics. Co-Op team members will work closely with our Operations Program Managers to review and deliver the data points necessary. It is a Business Analyst-type role. **Co-Op Job Summary** + The Co-Op will work at Delta's World Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. This is a paid position, including additional privileges such as standby travel anywhere in the Delta system while off duty. + Additional travel to client sites may be required. Travel expenses are covered by DPS. + The team currently operates on a hybrid schedule (i.e., in-person on campus for Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays while Mondays and Fridays are virtual). + The Co-Op will have exposure to other departments within Flight Operations, including but not limited to: Flight Training & Standards, Flying Operations, Line Operations, Crew Resources & Scheduling, Pilot Hiring & Development, and Simulator Support to learn about the industry and gain valuable life experience. + The position requires two alternating semesters of full-time work at Delta with full-time study. + We are seeking qualified, motivated individuals looking for an exceptional opportunity. **Co-Op Job Responsibilities** + Actively participate in team activities that aim to holistically develop Co-Ops + Partner with multiple divisional stakeholders in a Business Analyst role to define business/process improvement opportunities, assist with the development and maturation of recommended solutions, and implement initiative tracking methodologies + Support DPS’ global innovation initiative through applications of creative design concepts to evolve stakeholder approaches to problem and solution design + Develop and implement feedback analysis using basic survey and statistics methodologies + Support project leaders on technology programs with external vendors and Information Technology teams to identify and troubleshoot issues, develop solutions, and implement resolutions in a timely manner to minimize impact to the operation + Think, design, and create innovative solutions to support project teams in improving the pilot work experience What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) + Working as a Co-op does not guarantee a full-time opportunity upon graduation. This position is intended to provide you with educational, and professional work experience to prepare you for the workforce. + This position requires you to work for 3 alternating semesters. You cannot actively take any courses (inclusive of online or in-person) and work as a Co-op at the same time, which may delay your graduation by 1-2 semesters. + Rotations: Summer 2025, Spring 2026, Fall 2026 + Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business Administration (Information Technology Management) or Industrial Engineering (or similar degree with applicable skills) + Team player that fosters trust, open dialogue, and healthy conflict with coworkers + Strong interpersonal skills and servant leadership required to promote intentional relationships + Preferably a rising Sophomore or rising Junior, as you are required to work 3 terms + Strong organizational and time management skills required + Internally motivated, curious, ready to learn, and eager to make an impact + Ability to work under tight deadlines and time constraints while being able to manage and prioritize multiple project requests conjointly + Project Management experience is a plus (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Kanban, etc.) + Experience with business cases, process mapping, and database management is a plus + Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data. + Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles. + Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. + Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
