Discover more about potash at Nutrien! An exciting co-op opportunity awaits a motivated student at our Saskatoon office beginning May 2025 for an approximate 16-month term. This is a temporary, full-time, hourly-paid position and is open to current students who will be returning to their studies once this work term is complete.
What you will do:
Collect and document CI initiatives as completed and approved by site for posting on network Operational Excellence sharepoint to build site relationships and experience in Continuous Improvement Participate in continuous improvement strategy workshops, process mapping, value driver and prioritization exercises Update Green Belt training program slides as per guidance from Sr. Advisor to incorporate recent Nutrien projects and feedback Update all tools and templates in use and taught through training courses to Nutrien branded documents for public sharepoint Participate in support of site CI projects when applicable Support all operational excellence training programs through coordinating upcoming training events, participant record keeping, program growth opportunities, etc. Develop materials to support and frame the appropriate discussions during site team working sessions Report to Sr. Advisor, Operational Excellence, while accountable to initiative leads and teams to meet objectives
What you will bring:
Completed at least 2 years of an undergraduate program in engineering, technology, applied science, or business (or equivalent) at an accredited post-secondary institution and returning to full-time studies after the work term Interest and experience in continuous improvement and process optimization, knowledge of mining and milling processes would be an asset Strong written and communication skills, able to manage and coordinate discussion across diverse stakeholders Proficient in Microsoft Powerpoint to support updating training materials and visualizing concepts for engagement and discussion Detail oriented and able to collaborate with multiple stakeholders Track record of successful execution of results in a team setting
