Your Key Responsibilities
Co-ops who are earlier in their academic journey and complete a successful rotation may be invited back during other semesters or summers to work with us again! The successful co-op student will be provided with a project charter and description during their onboarding process. The co-op will provide key deliverables in their assigned area at the end of their co-op assignment. Project examples include (but are not limited to):
Define and document process parameters Quantify and lead actions needed for scrap reduction Improve effectiveness and efficiency of key machinery in high volume work areas Participants should be responsible, able to work independently, and open to instruction S/he will be given developmental opportunities through tasks such as projects, job-rotation, hands-on training, and exposure to Schaeffler's manufacturing and technological processes Learn, understand, and adhere to the current specifications of the Quality Policy and Procedures and contribute to the achievement of quality objectives Your Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Must be pursuing an academic degree (preferably in automotive, industrial, or mechanical engineering) Maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher per semester Experience in Microsoft Office Suite Experience utilizing written and verbal communications Extremely self-motivated & driven to achieve results Assertive approach to solving problems Ability to prioritize The ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods, and lift and move thirty pounds External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorshipAs a global company with employees around the world, it is important to us that we treat each other with respect and value all ideas and perspectives.
