As a CO2 Technologies Engineer, you will be required to perform various tasks, a non-exhaustive list of which can be found below:

You participate in the creative process of generating new technical concepts in response to business demands.  You develop those concepts from the laboratory phase to the industrial demonstration phase; this includes: defining the flow sheet, the PFD, key equipment selection, identifying and selecting potential suppliers, Capex and Opex estimates. Additionally, the ability to navigate within the company’s organization to collaborate with other departments (process, engineering, strategy, etc.).  You conduct techno-economic studies.  You ensure technical watch You identify and evaluate the potential of emerging technologies.  You develop technical expertise in areas related to CO2 technologies.  You conduct laboratory or pilot-scale tests to prove concepts or to increase the technical maturity of certain concepts.

Your profile

Basic requirements

You are civil or industrial engineer with a relevant Operational experience of at least 5 years in an industrial environment 

You also possess a sound knowledge of at least one of the following: industrial processes, chemistry, chemical engineering, mining

Last but not least, you are fluent in English

The team

The Carmeuse Technologies R&D team consists of engineers and lab technicians specializing in CO2 technologies.

Your manager Pierre-Olivier Cambier, who is the head of the CO2 technology solutions. Pierre-Olivier has extensive experience in process and development in the heavy industry. He joined Carmeuse in 2020 to support, together with his team, Carmeuse Technologies in the development of new CO2 mitigation solutions from the concept up to industrial demonstrators.
